Giovanni's knowledge is second to none. I referred him to our condo for a project quote, and while he ended up not getting the job, because the condo decided to not do the project, the knowledge he brought to the table about required engineering that none of the other contractors who provided quotes even brought up was amazing, and, correct.

I was looking to do some updating on my 1963 home to replace a door & window with a custom patio slider and convert single slider to a full slider. This required structural masonry, electrical, drywall and paint work. Sound Building Contractors and Giovanni did a great job with all aspects of contracting and my new sliders are beautiful and have made such a difference in the look of my home!

We recently engaged Giovanni of Sound Building Contractors to complete a lanai rebuild project that we had initiated a few years ago. Initially overwhelmed with decision-making and uncertain about integrating the finish elements with our 1950's mid-century home, we sought to incorporate smart technology, effective air movement, and diverse lighting options. Giovanni adeptly utilized structural elements like faux beams and employed finishing techniques that seamlessly complemented our home's interior. He designed the electrical layout for easy access yet ensured it remained discreet. Additionally, he assisted us in selecting stylish and functional fans to maintain comfortable temperatures throughout the year. Throughout the project, as is common, questions arose and the scope evolved. However, Giovanni and his team remained highly professional throughout the entire process. From establishing the budget and defining the scope to developing a timeline, obtaining permits, and executing the project, Giovanni consistently delivered. The end result is a stunning outdoor space that we not only love but also utilize regularly.

In my many experiences over the years with General Contractors, I’ve never met a more professional, conscientious, or more knowledgeable person than Giovanni. He always promptly responded and felt us welcome to our questions contrary to the typical expectation one would have when working with a Contractor. We strongly encourage you to meet with him and then your mind will be quickly made.

SBC - Giovanni - just finished the kitchen renovation in our condo. It may be small but it is just beautiful. Giovanni was always in contact from permitting through to the last inspection. He provided adjusted timelines as the work proceeded so we knew exactly where we were in the process. He scheduled talented contractors to get the job done. Often I’ve heard complaints from other homeowners that their contractor started a job and then disappeared. Not so with SBC. I would also like to thank Eurotech for recommending Giovanni. Though it took longer than I had hoped, I could not be more pleased with the result.

We had an excellent experience with Sound Building Contractors, and Giovanni- far better than our experience with other contractors. Giovanni was helpful during the specification phase but not intrusive, and when construction began, he kept us informed as work progressed. When questions arose, he contacted us and shared with us the questions and possible answers. We had a small change in scope which was well handled, and the job was well done on time and budget. We will contact Giovanni the next time we need work done in Sarasota.

Giovanni and his team were wonderful to work with when they did a 600 sq ft 2 bedroom 2 bath addition to our home. From drawing the plans to the actual build he was on top of everything for a very fair price. Their attention to detail and communication were excellent, even when small issues arose. I highly recommend using Sound Building Contractors and GLG Architects.
